The North West Pig Study Group meets every second Thursday at the Klerksdorp Recreation Centre. The meetings usually start at 14:00 and take place every month, except during school holidays. The group also presents a year-end function which involves the members' families.

The aim of the study group is to share information and to keep members informed of the latest news, findings and trends in the pork industry.

An invited guest often addresses the meeting. On various occasions members will discuss certain topics. A problem experienced my a member is often placed in the spotlight and solutions are given by other members of the group.
