The Gauteng Pig Study Group is due to be re-vitalised in 2008. The aim is to gather a group of producers who are interested in sharing ideas, improving production and keeping up to date with current issues in the pig industry. We will try to incorporate topics such as:

• Updates from SAPPO on current issues.

• Updates on price trends in the pork and feed industries.

• Optimising production on your piggery and staying competitive in the industry.

• Practical talks from farmers.

• New products with potential to increase your production.

The group will meet four times a year, starting in February. The meetings will start at 14:00 and will be followed by a late afternoon braai/light meal and refreshments. Date and venue will be sent out in due time for each meeting.
