The Magaliesburg Pork Producers’ Pig Study Group meets at the Swallows Inn outside Magaliesburg. It represents approximately six piggeries in the area.
The aim of the study group is to keep members informed of new developments in the industry. The chairman is Bruce Bourhill.
The meetings usually deal with a topic which was chosen at the previous meeting. The study group often invites guest speakers. The speaker's address is usually followed by a discussion. The meetings usually start at 14:00. Afterwards members have a light finger lunch.
Standard items such as the current market situation, inputs and matters from SAPPO are also on the agenda.
