Pork Pizza

50 g minced pork
250 g rindless streaky bacon, chopped
1 medium onion, finely chopped
100 ml tomato puree
250 g mushrooms, sliced
3 ml dried or 10 ml chopped fresh origanum
150 g Cheddar cheese, grated (375 ml)

Method

Fry bacon until crisped. Remove from frying pan. Brown meat in rendered fat. Add remaining seasoning. Press meat mixture into bottom of frying pan (± 20 mm thick). Place mushrooms on top. Sprinkle cheese over. Cover with lid and simmer for 10 minutes at a medium temperature setting followed by 15 minutes on a low setting. Serve in frying pan. (4 – 6 servings)
